A method for the production of bodies made of ceramic materials on basis of silicon carbide, comprising the steps of: arranging of fiber-reinforced porous bodies (1, 5) of carbon on a with respect to liquid silicon inert substrate (2), wherein the body, which is accessible from outside cavities (3) or superficial recesses (3 '') and wherein the cavities (3) in the porous bodies are closed towards the bottom or the superficial recesses (3'') with the substrate (2) a reservoir which is closed towards the bottom form, heating of the arrangement by the introduction of energy for melting the silicon, are located in the reservoir (6) and infiltration of the molten silicon in the body (1, 5) and the reaction of the silicon with the carbon to form silicon carbide, and use of such bodies produced as a brake disks and as a coupling with the transport disks.
