The electric tooth brush for inspecting the dental cleaning process, comprises a UV light emitting diode (16) connected at a battery, which is inserted into a cavity of the brush head (12), and a handle part having a moving drive and a brush attachment (10). The brush head has a photocell. A ring shaped display light arranged in brush neck (14) or -handle is activated by the photocell, which is in connection with a control circuit in a defined intensity of the reflected UV light. The diode is connected over electric contacts on the handle part and on the brush attachment.
