The crack safety device has a mechanical unlocking device released in order to overshoot a maximum moment of a drive by the arising gusts of wind. Two disengaging units are engaged into one another, and a positive connection disengages only by exceeding a pre-determined torque. The crack safety device lies in an encapsulated housing and is protected against influences of the weather. A spring-loaded disengaging unit (3) provides an automatic resetting, when an overload moment decreases.
