The device has a fluid chamber (10) that is arranged in a force flow path of the braking force and connected with a fluid reservoir (3) e.g. brake fluid container, over a fluid line (13). A valve (14) is arranged in the fluid line, where volume of the fluid chamber is changed by movable pedal and control pistons (12, 19). The fluid chamber is provided between a main-brake cylinder (4) and a full brake pedal (1). The two pistons are movable relative to each other. An electronics (15) controls the valve, and a spring (11) is provided in the fluid chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for absorbing mechanical reaction of a brake assembly.
