The device has a venturi-nozzle (12) for mixing a supplied fuel with supplied combustion air for forming an ignitable fuel gas mixture. The nozzle has a flow channel, which is surrounded by a wall of the nozzle. An inner surface of the wall of the nozzle is made of a porous material (14) e.g. porous ceramics or metal foam. The nozzle has a converging inlet area in a flow direction before a diverging diffuser. The porous material is a wire mesh or a wire fleece. A set of openings is provided in the nozzle wall in an area of the diffusers.
