Low-protein, gluten-free beer, is made from grain- or bean syrup of specified water content, with optional hops, brewing gypsum, other additives and coloring
The beer is manufactured from at least one grain syrup with a dry matter content including 9-95 wt% of water, with optional brewers' gypsum and hops. Additionally an anti-oxidant, an acidity-regulation agent, coloring and hops is included in the mixture. The dry matter content of the at least one syrup, is preferably 70-80 wt%, but may be as low as 15%. The syrup is derived from wheat, manioc, maize, rice, malt, or their mixtures. It is derived from ground barley, spelt, millet, mung beans, sorghum, potato, or their mixtures. The beer is barley-free. The original wort content of the mixture is preferably 8 - 20[deg] Plato. The mixture contains hops and exhibits 10-35 grid units. The mixture is gluten-free. An independent claim IS INCLUDED FOR the corresponding method of manufacture.
