The differential method involves controlling a drying process by differential microwave absorption and reflection is regulated in the material respectively. The differential microwave absorption and reflection of damp textiles and papers are measured with a frequency within the range between 0.2 to 100 gigahertz. The dielectric material function is determined with separate transmitting and receiving antennas in transmission and reflection. The surface temperature of the drying property is controlled and regulated with a sensor.
