The memory (1) has data lines (10) transmitting data, which are readout from a memory cell (35), where the data lines include redundant data lines (11) and non-redundant data lines (12). The redundant data lines are interconnected with a data distributor cable (20) over a switching unit e.g. transistor, such that the redundant data line or a group of redundant data lines is selected. One of the redundant data lines is selectively connected to other redundant data lines at the data distributor cable. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an integrated semiconductor memory.
