The method involves sorting wiring lists using sorting criteria and visualizing a source, destination and/or cable routing within the wiring lists based on the sorted lists. The visualization process includes a graphical representation of layouts and the routing plans. A cable (2) for a router is assembled based on the routing plan and the sorted lists. The assembled cable is provided in real time for the router.
