The method involves carrying-out transverse-stabilizing brake interferences at a circular-outside front wheel (14b) of a motor vehicle (10) in a drive phase of a track changing process. The transverse-stabilizing brake interferences are modified in an anti-driving phase of the track changing process in such a manner that the interferences are continued both at the circular-outside front wheel as well as at a circular-internal front wheel (14a) of the motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for transverse stabilization of a motor vehicle during track changing process.
