The sprinkler is formed as a mixer jet for making an extinguishing agent mixture (8) from water (6) and air (7) according to an injector principle. A high fire extinguishing effect is achieved such that variable of individual water drop portions determining the quality of the extinguishing agent from the water are positively changed, when the droplets have precisely smaller diameter. Larger effective areas can be achieved with the same amount of the extinguishing agent, where the extinguishing agent utilization and the supply of the extinguishing agent are reversely reduced.
