The roof system (I) has a rear unit (2) arranged at an end area of a roof unit (1) facing a rear area of a vehicle and extending between the two opposite carrier parts (3, 4). The rear unit is displaced back against the carrier parts in the interior of the vehicle and side walls (31, 41) of the carrier parts facing one another, where the side walls are formed by the back displacement. A ventilation unit is formed in the side walls and is movable relative to the assigned carrier part. The ventilation element is rotatable over an axis (6).
