The method involves activating an electric motor (12) after a stopping phase, and bringing an internal-combustion engine (2) e.g. petrol engine, to a starting rotation speed by the electric motor. The engine is brought to a desired rotational speed by the electric motor in a trailing phase, where the desired rotational speed lies above the starting rotational speed. Mixture enrichment is determined after exceeding the starting rotational speed. A fuel measurement takes place based on the mixture enrichment, after reaching the desired rotational speed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a controller for controlling and regulating an internal-combustion engine (2) a computer program, which is executable on controller, for controlling and regulating an internal-combustion engine.
