The lining has a friction lining (6) with a layer formed from a friction lining material. An intermediate layer is arranged between the friction lining and a support (4), where a molded article (10) e.g. cast part, of the intermediate layer placed between the support and the friction lining is pressed. The molded article is provided with projections (12), and the support is provided with recesses (16), where the projections and the recesses permit that the molded article to be aligned for pressing with respect to the support. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a multi-layer disk brake lining.
