The clutch device has an automatic transmission (18) or a partially automated manual transmission with a movable unit (24), whose position influences a torque transmitted by a drive shaft (12) to an output shaft (20). An actuating device (22) moves the movable unit depending on a signal, which is provided by a sensor i.e. torque sensor (28). The torque sensor provides a signal, which is correlated with a torque load of the output shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for automatically actuating a clutch device.
