Position-sensitive, contactlessly measuring sensor arrangement calibrating method for determining position of e.g. finger, in motor vehicle, involves determining distance of sensor and detecting value during minimum distance of object
The method involves determining a sensor measured value for distance measuring sensors (S1-S4) for an object e.g. body part e.g. finger (4), at a well-known place. A straight line gradient for each of the distance measuring sensors is computed based on the appropriate sensor measured value. A distance of the corresponding distance measuring sensor from the well-known place and a minimum distance sensor measured value are determined. The minimum distance sensor measured value is detected during a minimum distance of the object from the appropriate distance measuring sensor. An independent claim is also included for a device with a position-sensitive, contactlessly measuring sensor arrangement for determining a position of an object in a motor vehicle.
