The circuit has an integrator (19) supplying a synchronization signal to a stabilization block (6). The integrator is started by a start-ramp signal with a negative initial value and continuously supplies a rising signal. A phasing of a switching signal and a phase of output voltage of a power-frequency-controlled, self-commutated pulse-width modulated inverter (2) are continuously changed. The inverter's output voltage is controlled by a voltage reactive power controlling function of the inverter.
