The device has a temperature sensor (1) with a heat conductor (8) arranged in direct contact with an oil flow (6), where the heat conductor guides the oil temperature to the temperature sensor. An opening (10) for the oil flow is provided in a hydraulic control plate (5), where the heat conductor is arranged in the opening. The heat conductor is separated from a surrounding housing wall through an insulator (9), which is made from a heat insulating material e.g. glass or ceramics.
