The cook module (1) has a hob (3) fastened into a work surface (2). A swiveling unit such as rotary bracket (5) and axle (8), produces a swivel connection with a work plate, where the connection swivels about a horizontal axis. The swiveling unit is formed in such a manner that the module is docked adjacent to the work plate for cooking with the work surface horizontal to the work plate. The swiveling unit exhibits an angle (9) for producing a positive connection with the work plate. The angle is formed continuously over the width of the swivel unit. An independent claim is also included for a kitchen module with a work plate.
