A multilayer laminate (I) for composite glazing comprises (a) at least two layers of plasticizer-containing, partially acetalated polyvinyl alcohol and (b) at least one intermediate layer containing polyvinyl alcohol and/or ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. An independent claim is included for composite glazing comprising at least two panes of glass with at least one intermediate layer of (I).
