Method for providing driving assistance to vehicle driver under accident-prone traffic conditions, determines possible collision of vehicle with nearby objects, then determines alternate routes for vehicle to avoid such collisions
The method begins by determining possible collision of the vehicle with nearby or surrounding objects, such as other vehicles, should the vehicle further continue running through a given route. Alternate routes for the vehicle to avoid such collisions are determined. The vehicle driver is informed of the alternate routes by an optical signal or graphic symbol presented in the driver line of sight. An independent claim is also included for a driving assistance system.
