Producing a molded body, preferably a plate, consisting of a particle shaped, inorganic light filler and a binding agent matrix fixing the light filler particle, comprises: providing the light filler particle; providing a dispersion or solution of an organic, completely polymerized, non reactive binding agent polymer in water; mixing the binding agent polymer-dispersion or -solution with the light filler particle; bringing the mixture to a form; and drying the mixture under the formation of the binding agent matrix fixing the light filler particle. An independent claim is included for a molded article, preferably a plate, consisting of a particle shaped, inorganic light filler and a binding agent matrix fixing the light filler particle, where the binding agent matrix is formed from a dried bonding agent polymer -dispersion or -solution based on water.
