The cover (2) has a main flap (1) detaching an airbag from the cover during blowing of the airbag, where the flap swivels about a hinge line (5) of the airbag. The main flap is connected with the cover by strap hinges (3A, 3B, 3C), which partially roll themselves around a transverse axis during opening of the airbag and form a rolling hinge. The strap hinges have different dimensions e.g. different lengths, widths, material thicknesses and cross sections. The strap hinges are made from thermoplastic elastomer, thermoplastic olefin or polycarbonate.
