The method for manufacturing a joint or articulated connection (3), involving a bush or bearing with a hinge bolt (6) being provided in an opening (4) in one component, entails introducing the bush (5) into the one component (1) in a press which serves for the manufacture of this component, or in a tool provided there, for example a progressive die or stage tool, wherein the tool arranged in the press is the manufacturing tool which is used for the production of the one component. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a joint or articulated connection between two components (1,2) with a hinge bolt with a section (6.2) produced by plastic deformation or caulking which is accommodated in the bush; and (2) a hinge bolt for use with a joint or articulated connection.
