The holder has sockets (2) firmly arranged at ends of the fluorescent lamp (1) such that contact elements (4) are arranged section-wise at each socket at the circumference. The contact elements are connected with the contacts of the lamp in such a manner that with insertion, taking place crosswise to the longitudinal extension of the lamp, of the sockets into the fork-like bulb sockets, the contact elements and the contacts of the lamp are electrically connected with assigned bulb socket-sided counter contacts. The sockets and the lamp are mechanically held by the lamp sockets.
