The safety belt buckle unit has a belt buckle (12), a belt buckle holder (14) with a cord eye (18) fixed on a side of a vehicle, which is formed by an appropriately stiffened cord (16). A fitting (26) is fixed on the belt buckle engaged in the cord eye, which engages the cord so that it holds the belt buckle in upright way to arrange the engaged cord section pivoted but prevents from rotating.
