The method involves applying and compressing a foil, and covering, sealing and fastening the foil at a silo surface (1) with a cover of longitudinal and/or horizontal strips by pressing a foil edge (2) on the silo surface. A foil edge (3) of another cover is placed and pressed after the pressing of the edge (2), where the pressing process is facilitated in a direction at a transverse angle to the silo surface. The pressing of the cover is effected in the form of loops (9, 10), where an end of the cover is stuck and tilted. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a method for covering and sealing a silo system.
