The transport device has a transportation unit (1a,1b) in a subordinate transportation direction. The transportation units in has drives (7a,7b) coupled to main drive shaft (2a,2b) for propelling the flat glass disk (10) within the area of the respective transportation unit. The coupling units (9a,9b) are mechanically coupled with the main drive shaft. The shafts have multiple free-wheel rollers (5) to carry buckling-poor support of the flat glass disk.
