Pressure hood (11) fits over a heated drying cylinder (10) in a papermaking machine. It is fitted with a seal (14) which can be inserted into it, preferably when in position on the cylinder. An independent claim is included for the combination of the pressure hood and a frame (16) which supports the seal during insertion or removal.
