The ceramic discharge container (4) has a cylindrical end (6) closed with a plug (11), where an electrically conductive implementation in the form of a molybdenum tube is conducted through the plug in a vacuum-sealed manner. An electrode (14) is fastened with a shaft (15). The plug is made of non-conductive cermet containing mixture of aluminum nitride and aluminum oxide. The molybdenum tube is alitized and nitrided outwardly such that an aluminum molybdenum layer is formed, where an aluminum nitride layer is provided outwardly. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a gas-sealed connection between a molybdenum tube and a cermet plug.
