The device has an actuating unit for shifting and selecting, where selecting movement is implemented by a selecting actuator (2), which has a housing and an anchor (4). The anchor stands in connection with an actuator lug of a selecting plate over a hook point (6). The hook point of the selecting actuator is designed in such a manner that a blind mounting of the selecting actuator is ensured. The hook point has two plates (8, 10), which are connected with each other by a rod (12) and are arranged at the anchor. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a selecting actuator.
