The assembly has a frame for installing the assembly in a vehicle, and a seat cushion (16) arranged near the frame. An airbag device (20) has an airbag and an inflator for supplying gas to the airbag to enable opening of the airbag. A force concentrator (32) covers an area of the cushion for protection of the cushion during opening of the airbag, where the concentrator has inner and outer panels (34, 36) and forms a releasing channel between the panels. The inner panel has a distal end, which is fixed at the frame, and the outer panel has a distal end, which is fixed at the airbag device. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a vehicle seat assembly.
