The arrangement has a computer (1) comprising software, in which coding systems are provided for different engine types and individual coded engine parameters. An interface box (4) is connected to the computer. The interface box has an interface board connected with a data acquisition board and an interface connection (8) connected to the interface board. An adapter (5) is inserted at the interface connection for connecting a data input plug (9), which is formed corresponding to engine types, with the interface box.
