The procedure for protecting exhaust line- or exhaust system from corrosion, comprises subjecting components of the exhaust line- or exhaust system with cathodic protection by transcrystalline stress corrosion and area wisely coating the components out of highly alloyed austenitic steel with thermally constant electrochemical base coat for cathodic protection. The steel is electric conductively connected with sacrifice anode from metal material and is electrically polarized through a tension giver. The procedure for protecting exhaust line- or exhaust system from corrosion, comprises subjecting components of the exhaust line- or exhaust system with cathodic protection by transcrystalline stress corrosion and area wisely coating the components out of highly alloyed austenitic steel with thermally constant electrochemical base coat for cathodic protection.
