The vehicle has a control unit (2) e.g. pushbutton, for activating a driving direction change, where the control unit is arranged in a steering wheel knob (4), which is connected with a steering wheel (1). A signal is transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver over a wireless connection during activation of the control unit. The transmitter outputs a coded signal and the receiver passes the signal. An additional control unit activates driving direction change, and the signal is transmitted over a wire-bound connection during activation of the additional control unit.
