Use of an antimicrobial textile composite as a holder to cause a bacteriostatic effect on the objects and materials to be cleaned in the interior of a washing machine or dishwasher, is claimed, where the holder is made of fibers containing a stable association of a cellulose matrix with ion-exchange particles that are incorporated with silver ions.
