Inner (1) and outer (2) layers are each polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) layers. The inner PVDF layer has a tube wall thickness of between 0.5 mm and 2.5 mm, especially 1.275 mm. The outer PVDF layer has a tube wall thickness of between 0.2 mm and 1.5 mm, especially 0.525 mm. A metal layer (4) has a tube wall thickness of between 0.1 mm and 0.4 mm, especially 0.2 mm. Layers (3a,3b) of bonding agent each have a layer thickness of between 0.05 mm and 0.2 mm, especially 0.1. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a composite tube made up up of layers of plastic.
