The device has a movable attachment (14), which comprises conveyance device (13) with a drive (18) and a dismantling or separation device for the containers arranged transversely, perpendicularly to the conveyance device. The dismantling and separation device is arranged in a hoist trolley (21), which is arranged at a linear guiding (27) moved relative to the conveyance device by an actuator (29), and measuring devices (33,36) are provided for determination of the power input or the speed or the torque at both the drives. An independent claim is also included for a method for conveying containers, particularly waste containers, from a storage bunker, and for the avoidance of overloading in a device.
