An inspection plate (2) has a cavity (6) in a sensitive area. A transporting device (4) moves a transmission-inhibiting medium into the cavity by default in order to weaken a sensitive area regarding intensity in a measuring beam of light given off by an optoelectronic rain sensor. A test control unit (3) links to the transporting device so as to control transmission-inhibiting medium movement into the cavity. The cavity is designed as a channel running parallel to a surface on the inspection plate. There are several channels running parallel to each other.
