The unit i.e. router, has a crankcase (10) provided with hand grips (12a, 12b). A drive engine (14) is arranged in the crankcase and is connected with a tool fitting (18) protruding at a lower side (16) of the crankcase. The drive engine is connected with connecting lines (20a-20c) that are guided from the crankcase. A device (24) e.g. recess and hook, is arranged in an upper side of the crankcase facing the hand grips, where the connecting lines are detachably fastened in its progression in the device. The hand grips include a commutator (36) for initiating the drive engine.
