The device (1) has two vertically running rods (3), and material units (2, 2') made from gauze and arranged at the rods. A lower area of the rods is fastened to a balcony guard rail (6), a parapet or to a ground by using a fixed clamp, where the rods comprise a shape i.e. bending, in its upper area. Each rod comprises a vertically arranged bar (4) and a beam (5), where the beams are inserted into the bars and have beam units. The beam units are made from flexible material e.g. glass fiber and aluminum, and horizontally running cross-bracings are provided between the rods.
