The ring (7) has axially aligned cutting plate retainers (12) that are assembled with a cutting plate (14). A section slot for radial passage of chopped foodstuffs is formed between the plate retainers. A width of the cutting plate is defined by a radial inner edge of the cutting plate that forms a cutting edge and by a rear edge of the retainers set in a peripheral direction. Each plate retainer has a base returning in an axial direction at the radial inner edge. The rear edge of the retainer is formed by a bevel extending in an axial direction.
