The device has multiple sensors (S1,S2,S3) and interfaces (IF1,IF2,IF3) for data transmission with controllers (ECU1,ECU2,ECU3). A component assembly (P) is provided which is connected with the mains power line (U-Batt) of the vehicle and a controller for supplying energy. The component assembly is in connection with interface for energy supply and is also connected with an energy storage (ER). An independent claim is also included for a method of supplying energy to a controller.
