The system (1) has a navigation system (2) arranged in a vehicle, and a portable ignition key (3), which is formed for wireless communication with the navigation system. The navigation system is formed for dynamic route planning after stopping an engine of the vehicle during activated dynamic route guiding for a predetermined time period. Information is transmitted to the ignition key at the predetermined time period during required change of a route that is selected before stopping. An independent claim is also included for a method of wireless data communication between a navigation system and a portable ignition key of a driver information system.
