An independent claim is also included for a method fixing a column pivoting crane to the ground. Preferred Features: The column base has a holder (7) for inserting the lower end (8) of the column pipe. A gap (11) is formed between the holder and the lower end of the column pipe and is filled with a filling composition (12), preferably a casting composition, an adhesive and/or non-compressed granules. The gap has a width of up to 10 mm.
