Sensor functional efficiency and/or calibration and/or location accuracy monitoring method for eddy current testing of laid railway track, involves sticking wire or foil on track, where wire and/or foil consists of material
The method involves sticking a piece wire e.g. solder or copper wire, or a narrow strip aluminum foil, on a testing body e.g. laid railway track, where the wire and/or the foil consists of an electrical conductive material, whose conductivity is significantly different. The piece wire or the strip foil is stuck transverse to a rail longitudinal direction over a head of the laid railway track. The piece of differently thick wire or different broad strips foil is used in order to simulate tears of different depth.
