The turbine (100) has a turbine wheel (104) arranged at a shaft (102) in a turbine housing, where the turbine wheel is arranged in a gas tract. The shaft is sealed against the gas tract in a bearing housing (106) using interior piston rings (108, 110). A compressor is driven by the shaft, and a gap (112) is formed between the piston rings and conveyed using the compressor. A compressor wheel (114) is arranged in the gap between the piston rings. The compressor sucks surrounding air via a non-return valve by bypassing a vehicle compressed air system.
