A method for making composites (I) involves (a) providing a support, (b) applying a textile sheet containing B-stage binder(s) to at least one surface of the support, (c) optionally laminating the resulting structure with heat and pressure so that the binder is partly or completely cured, (d) applying functional material(s) to the other side of the textile, (e) optionally laminating as above so that the binder is fully cured, (f) optionally applying further protective layer(s) and then drying the product. Independent claims are included for (1) composites (I) comprising (a) a support, (b) textile sheet on at least one side containing a B-stage binder, (c) functional material in the textile sheet or applied to its upper side and optionally (d) other protective layers on the functional material (2) furniture, and wall- ceiling- and floor-coverings containing (I) .
