The method involves producing a reference part at a start of a manufacturing cycle, as a combination of representative processing operations per tool. The result of the respective operation is determined as actual data. The data is compared with reference data under production of error images. Reference data tool specifications of utilized tools have tolerance defaults, contour defaults, and measuring defaults according to the respective operation. The error images are analyzed, deviations are qualitatively evaluated under allocation of causes, and the respective cause is eliminated.
