The method involves analyzing a software source code in consideration of parameters comprising coding rules and/or coding metrics, where errors detected in the software source code are determined as an analysis result. The detected errors are classified, and are assigned to an error class from a set of error classes. A specification specifying the errors of respective error classes is assigned to each error class. The error classes are displayed by a user interface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for evaluating a software source code (2) a computer program product comprising instructions to perform a method for evaluating a software source code.
